Discipline is an often misunderstood – and misapplied – concept in leadership. Many supervisors think discipline and punishment are the same thing, and that the only way to get people to do what you need them to do is to hold the threat of punishment and negativity over them.

That’s negative discipline and the uneducated and ill-informed only know about this kind.

Discipline is simply developing behavior in your people that is consistent with the objectives of the organization.

Real leaders employ positive discipline far more often, and rarely have to resort to negative discipline.

If you’re a supervisor who wants to be a real leader, this episode is for you. If you’re somebody that wants to step into a leadership position in the future, this episode is also for you.

In this episode, I share 9 tactics you can use to get massive results from your people by using positive discipline to create powerful purpose and motivation in your employees.
